May was a busy month in Israel with Yom Hazikaron and Yom Haatzmaut, followed by Lag Ba’omer and Yom Yerushalayim. Tourism is back at close to pre-Covid levels, and the summer weather is here to stay. While interest rates are on the rise, there has been a small but noticeable slowdown in real estate transactions across the country, yet prices remain higher than ever, and in some places continue to increase further.

The following is a selection of real estate deals that took place in May 2022 that involved English-speaking real estate agents in Israel. The idea is to give our readers a general idea of the residential real estate market, property prices, and activities taking place around the country that relate to Israel real estate*.

Jerusalem:

A 3-room apartment, 100 sqm, located on the 2nd floor with a Shabbat elevator on Heletz Street in Baka, sold for NIS 4,400,000. A private house, 4-rooms 87 sqm, on two floors, located on Yehuda Street in Baka, was sold for NIS 3,150,000. A 5-room duplex, 146 sqm, located on Diskin in Sha’arei Chessed, was sold for 6,028,000. Tel Aviv:

A 3-room apartment, 52 sqm, on Sheshet Hayamim Street, Kfar Sahelm neighborhood, was sold for NIS 2,050,000 (Re/Max Ocean). A 2-room apartment, 24 sqm, located on Ben Yehuda Street, was sold for NIS 2,250,000 (Daon Group).

Ma’ale Adumim:

A 4-room apartment, 100 sqm, located on the third and top floor, on Mitzpeh Nevo, was sold for NIS 1,320,000. (Re/Max Vision).

Ashdod:

A 4.5-room apartment, 130 sqm on the third floor out of eight floors, located on Haprachim Boulevard, 8th District, was sold for NIS 1,830,000. (Re/Max Together).

Ariel

A 2-room garden apartment, 62 sqm on the ground floor out of three floors, located on Moriah Street, was sold for NIS 1,210,000. (Nadlan Ariel).
