As of Monday morning, approximately 10,000 claims—representing an initial damage estimate of around NIS 1 billion—have been submitted to Israel’s Compensation Fund. These figures do not yet include damages caused by missile strikes that occurred overnight. Of the total claims, 8,549 were filed for structural damage, 668 for vehicle damage, and 683 for damage to contents.

Since the beginning of Israel’s military operation against Iran, 9,900 claims have been received by the Compensation Fund’s emergency centers, according to a statement from the Israel Tax Authority. These claims do not account for the five new missile impact zones added overnight—including in Petah Tikva, Haifa, and Bnei Brak—for which claims have not yet been submitted. Of all claims filed, 8,549 relate to structural damage, 668 to vehicle damage, and 683 to contents and other property. In addition, 2,695 individuals have been evacuated from their homes to date.
A preliminary estimate by the Tax Authority places the financial scope of the damage between several hundred million and one billion shekels. However, this remains only an initial assessment, made before formal property appraisals and prior to evaluating the damages caused yesterday in the Gush Dan region.
The Israel Tax Authority stated: “Since the outbreak of the war, teams from the Compensation Fund, accompanied by engineers and assessors, have been present at various sites, providing initial support to citizens whose homes and belongings were damaged. These efforts are carried out in coordination with representatives of the local municipalities operating in the field. As of this morning, 90 Compensation Fund teams are active across the country—24 in Bat Yam, 16 in Ramat Gan, 13 in Rehovot, and 12 in Rishon LeZion.”
“Citizens whose homes or property were damaged by missile fire can report the damage by calling the Israel Tax Authority hotline at *4954 or by submitting a claim online through the Tax Authority website.”
